mal suerte

So yesterday, I got bitten by a stray dog at the beach. I was just minding my business walking by a dog on the rocks when it bit me. Of course it did bark at me first but I was listening to my Ipod so didn't consciously pay attention. Fortunately I was wearing Jeans so it wasn't to bad.

    Holy crap Paul! Are you OK? Did it break the skin? Do you have to get a rabies shot now?

    It did break the skin in a couple of places but because I had my jeans on not to badly

    I didn't end up going up to the hospital ... maybe I should of but I showed my host family and they didn't seem worried ... we washed it and applied a disinfectant

    It was funny because earlier my host mom was telling me how the dogs here don't like Americans and how gringos often have problems with them ... sure enough

    Afterwards they showed me how to pretend throw a rock, apparently if you merely make a throwing motion often the dog will run away

    Well as long as you don't have rabies...I guess now when I show off my still-there foot scar you can flash around you new Chilean leg scars to 1-up me. =P
